Sophie Qi grew up in China with one foot in tradition and another stepping toward the world. From the Yellow River valley she carried early memories of regional opera - their mystic stories, stylized movements and moral clarity - into a deeply held belief that how story is told can shape our world view.

In 2013, she launched Harmonia Holdings, Ltd. Her goal was audacious: to build a theatrical and cultural ecosystem that could bridge East and West through global productions, licensing, education, artist relationships, and philanthropic investment.

Qi has built producing credits on some of recent Broadway's most ambitious shows, including Moulin Rouge! The Musical, King Kong on Broadway, and Jagged Little Pill. Through helping shepherd these projects to the stage, she developed one underlying mission: how can theatre move beyond entertainment to become a source for global empathy, cultural exchange, and artistic risk?

Over the years, her Manhattan apartment has become a gathering place for benefit concerts, Chinese New Year galas, and intimate evenings of song and storytelling. SHaring her space with others is a constant source of joy and enrichment for Qi: "The more positive energy that enters my home, the more prosperity and blessings there are for everyone."

At the dawn of the AI era, Qi sees artists as the rarest assets of our time. Technology can mimic style, generate scripts, and replicate patterns. What it cannot reproduce is the lived human soul that makes art truthful. She seeks to follow in the footsteps of the great patrons of the arts before her, supporting the artists of today to help lay the foundation for culture to endure for generations.
